
David Bender (1824-1892), worked as weaver in Franklin Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania 1845-1852, worked in Washington Township, Johnson County, Iowa from 1845-1852[1]
His pattern manuscript represents what he might have woven. He would have hand copied his pattern book while he served as a novice weaver under a master weaver's tutelage.
